Pond liner repair sealant is an easy-to-use waterproof sealant for repairing damaged pond liners and creating a watertight bond around repair patches. This handy 80ml tube is ideal for smaller pond liner repairs and can be used with Butyl and Epalyn (EPDM) pond liners. The sealant is non-toxic to fish and aquatic life when used as directed.
What is pond liner repair sealant?
It is a non-toxic, solvent-free seal to repair punctures to a pond liner. The repair sealant is used as part of a repair rather than as a replacement for a badly damaged pond liner.

Frequently Asked Questions
Q: How Do I Find a Leak in a Pond Liner?
A: If your pond is losing water, first check that the loss isn't being caused by evaporation, splashing, a waterfall or leaking pipework. If these have been ruled out, the pond liner may have a hole or tear.
Start by allowing the water level to fall naturally. Mark the water level and wait to see where it stops falling. If the water stops at a particular level, inspect the pond liner carefully around that level for signs of damage.
Look for:
- Small holes or punctures
- Tears or splits in the liner
- Areas where the liner has pulled away from the pond edge
- Damage caused by stones, roots or sharp objects
- Damage around waterfalls, streams or other features
- Areas where the liner may have been stretched or exposed
Once you have located the suspected area, carefully clean the liner and inspect it closely. Small punctures can be surprisingly difficult to see, particularly when the liner is dirty or covered with algae.
If you cannot find the leak, allow the water level to fall further and check again. Continue this process until the water level stabilises. The point where the water stops falling can help identify the approximate location of the leak.
Once you've located the damaged area, your pond liner repair sealant and repair strip can be used to repair the liner, provided the liner material is compatible with the repair products.
