PVC (poly vinyl chloride) pond liner is a water tight 0.5mm thick black sheet used for lining ponds. This is a lightweight material is best used for smaller installations such as ornamental garden ponds. It is very flexible moulding readily around corners and shelves. PVC is not very elastic so it needs to be fitted carefully as it won't readily stretch into small gaps and crevices.
This type of liner will go brittle and crack if exposed to the sun over a period of time therefore correct pond liner installation and maintenance are essential. It can't be easily repaired as most pond liner repair products cause the liner to go brittle around the area it is applied to. This will then lead to further cracks and leaks, so protecting it with an underlay liner is essential.

Geotextile Underlay
Geotextile 250gm grey protective pond underlay is a mechanically bonded polypropylene needle punched material. This is a high performing, tough underlay relative to some brands available on the market.
Geotextile is used to protect your pond liner from being punctured by sharp stones, rocks, roots and other soil debris. A protective underlay also acts as an escape route for any gasses that may build up under a pond liner.
If you intend on covering your pond liner with soil, gravel, rocks or concrete, it is advisable to add Geotextile protective underlay both above and below the liner to prevent costly and time consuming repairs.
Protective liner is recommended for all pond liner installations. Liners Online guarantee all our pond liners when used with this protective liner.

Pond Liners & Underlay
All pond liners are manufactured to bespoke sizes, therefore we do not accept returns or exchanges for any pond liner once an order has been placed.
If your liner arrives faulty or incorrect due to an error on our part, please contact us as soon as possible. We will arrange collection of the liner and either repair or replace it at no additional cost.
All Other Products
For all other products, returns are accepted within 28 days of the delivery date.
The customer is responsible for organising and covering the cost of the return.
Items must be unused, in their original condition, and include all packaging and documentation.

The product carries a lifetime guarantee against leakage due to material degradation or faulty seams.
Lifetime shall mean the duration of the life of the person registered on the guarantee card while residing at the property where the pond liner was installed. The guarantee is not transferable to other persons or property and does not cover any form of commercial use. The liner must be installed in accordance with the instructions given and the water level maintained to the top of the liner during periods of evaporation. The guarantee does not cover any form of improper installation or use resulting in mechanical damage however caused, nor consequential loss, remedial or repair works.
Any liner subject to a claim under this guarantee shall be repaired, replaced or a refund of the original purchase price given at the discretion of Liners Online. The retailer’s official receipt should be kept in a safe place, as it will be required in the unlikely event of a claim under the terms of this guarantee.
